People often sacrifice these two things for each other. They put all their energy into having success + making something grow that their health declines. Then they have to focus entirely on their health that their success declines. Quite the ironic loop! The success will be worth nothing if you aren't healthy enough to enjoy it or see it grow. There are 3 simple ways you can interconnect health + success to see them both incline.
Create a Daily Mantra
Some people find daily mantras to be a bit "hokey". But if you told yourself everyday for a year "I am great at what I do and deserve the world," do you think you'd eventually believe it? YES! This is how they work. You repeat a phrase or paragraph (of your choosing or create your own) every morning when you wake up. At first you might feel silly talking to yourself in the mirror, but I promise overtime you will reap the benefits. The mantra will start to instill the belief in your brain whether you are aware of it or not. You will feel better about yourself, your relationships, and have a more positive outlook on life.
Daily mantra's aid in your success because in the long run it produces a healthier mind. A healthier mind allows for more gratitude. You cannot have the feeling of fear + gratitude at the same time. So what happens when the fear is gone? You are left with nothing but the ability to have as much success as you want.
Diet: Just Pick The Better Option
You probably hear this all the time: you must go on a diet, eat the salad, and never choose fries. WRONG. I like to stick with the simple motto of: pick the better option. Your success will increase when you have the energy to work longer hours, stay more focused, and create a more engaging environment. This all starts with what you put in your body. I'm not saying you need to eat rabbit food, but start with picking the better option. Burger + fries OR chicken wrap + side salad? Jumbo popcorn tub at the movies OR sharing the small bag with a friend? You get the point. You will notice an increase in your energy when you start to shift your decisions. It's all about those fries in moderation.
You've Got to Move It Move It
Throughout your day, you need to find a way to move. Moving allows you to reduce your stress by keeping busy + not overthinking. I find that a big barrier in my way of success is thinking too much that it blocks the work flow. I start to worry about the what-if's instead of focusing on the what-can-be's. Moving around helps alleviate this mindset because you are literally too busy to focus on it.
There are different ways you can move around depending on your lifestyle + preferences. Try running errands: shop in a brick and mortar store rather than buying online or pick up items that are usually delivered like groceries, prescriptions, etc. If you like exercise, then I highly recommend taking up a daily/weekly yoga class. It is as much soothing for your body as it is for your mind. Try walking on the treadmill for 30-45 minutes while reading a book (this is one of my other personal favorites). Find your way to move and you will find a happier, healthier you.
